the metaphonian society was founded in 1924 as a women's literary society at whittier college. the "mets" have now become dedicated to service, sisterhood, and friendship. the metaphonian society is comprised of the active members on campus, the sponsors, the pledge mistress council, and the metaphonian alumni association. all branches work cohesively together to promote sisterhood during membership while at whittier college and long after graduation.
